'LUCELLE'
a collaboration between myself and lucy martin
WE WILL BE SELLING THIS SATURDAY 4TH OCTOBER @ MCQUEEN SHOREDTICH AS PART OF 'WASTED CHIC'
At London college of Fashion we are continually encouraged to collaborate on projects with other students and graduates. Here is an ongoing collaboration I have been exploring recently with Lucy Martin an accessories and embroidery specialist.
The design element I have developed has been the logo print and graphics and Lucy has been embellishing and construction. Together we have created the luxury brand 'LUCELLE'
We were commissioned to come up with a fashion product which would be suitable for sale at the 10 STORES CHALLENGE which was a charity event earlier this year in which was a collective in which you can find more about here http://www.tenstores.com
MY INITIAL SAMPLING DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PRINT
We also recently sold at ram place fashion market in collaboration with THE BARBICAN
This was a series of pop-up stalls by students and designers alike. Our work was sold as part of LCF'S college shop however we were selling alongside independent shops and one of my favourite fashion markets: OVAL SUNDAY who stock the likes of my 2 favourite twins: 'FINICHITTIDA FINCH' http://finchittidafinch.com and Leutton Postle.

Sustainability is something which is still not at the forefront of fashion. Sometimes the most creative way to incorporate sustainability into your project is to be resourceful. As we had no budget for this project; Lucy and I decided to incorporate a recycled element and add value to waste materials such as denim jeans.
